A podcast about the relationship between artists, place and landscape.

Artists interviewing artists

about the many forces that shape us.

Who are we as artists, and what shapes us? I’ve been interested in this question for a long time and quite convinced in the role that place, landscape and environment play in our creative journeys. Join me in these conversations as we traverse the varied paths of becoming an artist, where we get inspiration and how we find the truth behind what we create with the epic backdrop of places of origin, memory of place and plans for adventure.

Meet the Host

“I believe in art. I believe looking, seeing and exploring are the antidote to the busy minds we have all become so consumed by. I believe in art’s ability to hold every piece of puzzle - and to show us how it all fits together.”

Kim Carlino is an interdisciplinary artist working in painting, multi-projects, public art, writing and podcasting. Carlino has a passion for color, an obsession with geometry, and a reverence for the natural world. From Virginia to New York, Colorado, Iowa, and throughout her home region of Western Massachusetts – her murals can be found across the United States. She has painted walls, streets, bike paths, barricades, and alleyways, inviting people into unusual visual worlds as part of their everyday existence. Whether writing, painting, or podcasting, her work is an invitation to get lost and found in the wild. It is a look at how to build the resiliency, spiritual patience, and sense of connection we need in order to be fully alive.
